Despite the chilly temperatures, a great time was had by all at our Open House on November 20th. The Pathfinder Unicycle Team charmed us with their talented student unicyclists. Our food drive for Food Lifeline collected 200 pounds of food along with $500 in donations contributed by our party-goers and Choice Organic Teas. Two very skilled acrobats from one of our Georgetown neighbors, The School of Acrobatics and New Circus Arts, wowed us with their incredible acrobalance performance. Hot samples of our five new teas along with cupcakes and cookies kept bellies full and warm and DJ Bishop kept the beat going all afternoon. Needless to say, there were lots of smiling faces among all the scarves and hats adorned for the day.
We were honored to be visited by Mayor Mike McGinn for a ribbon cutting ceremony. He officially proclaimed November 20, 2010 Choice Organic Teas Day, recognizing our commitment to community, worldwide social responsibility, and the environment. We couldn’t ask for a better ending to a spectacular day! You can read the proclamation here.
